Fall Town Meeting will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 6:45pm in the Sippican School Multipurpose Room.

Deadline for Citizen's Petitions is by the end of business on September 18, 2025. 

The Select Board will close the warrant at their October 14, 2025 meeting (previously scheduled for October 7, 2025) which will be held at the Marion Police Department Conference Room, 550 Mill Street at 6:00pm.

We will host an informational Town Meeting Review, date and time to be determined.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Building Commissioner Bob Grillo gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding Article 17. 

This presentation will also be given at the Town Meeting Warrant Review on April 30, 2025 at 6:00pm at the Marion Music Hall and will be recorded by ORCTV. Town Meeting Warrant Review:

The Select Board will hold a Town Meeting Warrant Review at the Marion Music Hall, 164 Front Street, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 6:00pm.

Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and familiarize themselves with the warrant before the Town Meeting.

A Message from the Town Clerk Regarding the Upcoming Town Meeting and Town Election:


The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 6:45PM in the Sippican School Auditorium (16 Spring St), followed by the Town Election on Friday, May 16, 2025

If you wish to vote at the town meeting OR the election, you must register to vote by Friday, May 2, 2025. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open until 5:00pm on that day, or you have until 11:59 PM to register to vote online (www.sec.state.ma.us). You must vote in person at the Annual Town Meeting – there is no early or absentee voting available.

If you would like to request a mail-in ballot, please click HERE for the application. You may mail it, place it in the locked blue drop box outside or email it to the Town Clerk’s Office. The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Friday, May 9, 2025.

We are offering in-person Early Voting during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, and Friday 8:00am-3:30pm) at the Town Clerk’s Office beginning Wednesday, May 7, 2025, through Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Voting at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center (465 Mill St.) on Friday, May 16, 2025 will be held from 8:00am until 8:00pm.

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT FOR MAY 12, 2025

January 30, 2025

The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, followed by the Town Election on Friday, May 16, 2025. 

Here is the list of the available elected positions:

  • Board of Assessors (1)
  • Board of Health (1)
  • Select Board (1)
  • Marion School Committee (1)
  • ORR School Committee (1)
  • Open Space Acquisition Commission (3)
  • Planning Board (2)

In order to run for an elected position, you must be a registered voter in the Town of Marion.

The Nomination Papers will be available beginning Monday, February 3, 2025 and must be returned to the Town Clerk's Office by the end of business on March 28, 2025. The potential candidate must secure twenty eight (28) signatures in order to be placed on the ballot. The Town Clerk recommends that the potential candidate obtain at least thirty five (35) signatures.
