Marion Scholarship Information and Application

About the Scholarship:

The Town of Marion Scholarship Education Fund Committee works to fundraise and oversee scholarships for graduating seniors who currently live in the town of Marion, Massachusetts. The scholarship amount awarded is based solely on donations and fundraising. The application criteria that the committee will review are based on financial need, character, academic record, extracurricular  activities and community involvement.

Please note that the number of scholarships, and the amounts, are to be determined each year by the committee.

Eligibility:

The Town of Marion Scholarship Education Fund Committee is dedicated to expanding access to college, career/technical education, and professional licensure for residents of our town. By offering scholarships to those pursuing these goals, we seek to reduce financial barriers, promote equality, and invest in the future success and well-being of our community.

Applicants must be residents of the Town of Marion, Massachusetts, must be a high school seniors in good standing, and be planning to pursue one of the following programs:

● 2 or 4 year college

● Vocational/Technical Certification or licensure

● Emergency Medical/ Public Health Licensure 


Selection of Recipients:

Recipients will be selected based on the criteria outlined below, and must submit a complete application to be considered. Recipients will be notified in May. Scholarships will be given after first semester college grades are submitted to the Town Hall or evidence of enrollment in Certification or Licensure program. 


Application Requirements:

Applicants are responsible for submitting the following information to be eligible:

1. Completed application

2. High school transcript from the last four years.
