Reminder: Office Holiday Hours, Trash Collection and Transfer Station Information

Marion Town Office Hours:

  • Closed at noon on Tuesday, 12/31
  • Closed on Wednesday, 1/1

Please note that Waste Management collection will be delayed by one day due to the Wednesday holiday.

The Benson Brook Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday, 1/1 but open on Thursday, 1/2.  The hours of operation are 8:00AM through 3:00PM. 

Curbside Christmas tree collection will be offered during the week of 1/6 through 1/10.  All trees must be curbside by 7:00AM on the day of your regular rubbish collection. 

Please ensure rubbish containers are not blocked by leaving no less than 5 feet of clearance on each side.  Trees will be collected by the Department of Public Works not Waste Management. 

Marion residents, with a valid Transfer Station Sticker, can also dispose of their trees at the Transfer Station on Wednesdays and Saturdays between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:00PM through January 11th. Trees in plastic bags or with ornaments will not be accepted curbside or at the transfer station. 

(All stickers including the Transfer Station Stickers are not available for purchase until 2/3. The Marion 2024 Stickers will be valid until 2/22)
