A message from HDR regarding the Shared Use Path:

Please see the link below for the copy of the Expanded Environmental Notification Form (EENF) that was submitted to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Office for the Marion Shared Use Path Project located in Marion, MA.  This copy is being provided in accordance with 301 CMR 11.16(2), and the preparation and filing procedures offered by the MEPA Office.  Public notice for the filing of this document is scheduled for publication on 3/21/2024 and will be placed in The Wanderer, The New Bedford Standard Times, Cape Cod Times, and Sippican Week.  Publication of this document will be scheduled 3/22/2024 in the Environmental Monitor.  In accordance with the latest protocols with regards to projects in proximity to Environmental Justice (EJ) populations, this project will qualify for a Mandatory Environmental Impact Report (EIR).  With the filing of an EENF, the Town of Marion and MassDOT are seeking approval from the MEPA Office to fulfill that requirement by filing a Single (EIR) pursuant to Section 11.06(8) of the MEPA regulations.  If you have any questions, or would like to discuss any of the information further, please reach out to Kevin Slattery from HDR Engineering, Inc., Agent for MassDOT at kevin.slattery@hdrinc.com.
