Overview
Mission Statement
The Marion Zoning Board of Appeals has authority under G.L. c. 40A and Zoning Bylaw Section 230-2.2 and 2.2.3 to hear the following matters:
- As special permit granting authority, certain special permits as identified in Section 230-4.2. For authority, see G.L. c. 40A, 9 and Article 7 of Zoning Bylaw).
- Applications for variances. See G.L. c. 40A, s. 10 and Zoning Bylaw Section 2.3(D).
- Appeals by persons aggrieved by reason of inability to obtain a permit or enforcement action from any administrative officer under the provisions of G.L. c. 40A, or aggrieved by an order or decision of the Building Inspector, or another administrative official, in violation of G.L. c. 40A or the Zoning Bylaw. See G.L. c. 40A, s. 8 and Section 230-2.3(B).
- Applications for comprehensive permits. See G.L. c. 40B, s. 21.
