The Zoning Board of Appeals has the responsibility under Chapter 40A of the Massachusetts General Laws to act as the Town's Special Permit Granting Authority in matters concerning the application or interpretation of the Town's Zoning By-Laws. The Board comprises five regular members and two alternates. Hearings are held upon request by property owners and/or abutters seeking relief from restrictions regarding the use of their property.
